- Mijn Doel In Het Leven Is To glorify the Lord in whatever opportunities remain for me in life. In April, 2009 I was unexpectedly laid-off in company downsizing from a unique office job (which involving writing) that I had hoped to keep until retirement. I was devastated. The Lord miraculously gave me other employment (albeit a grunt work job at Sam's Club) but my income is much less than it was and my current position on 3rd shift is very exhausting and greatly aggravates my lower back and right hip pains. My goal in life is to mature as a follower of Christ in faith and practice. I seek the contentment that Paul had, the peace that passes understanding, and to increase in knowing the joy of Christ's salvation. I seek the Lord's guidance about what to do with the rest of my life. My profile states that I am not willing to relocate, but that could change when my aged mother goes home to be with Jesus. She is the only family that keeps me where I am. God bless you.
